In an effort to assist those within the community that are affected by the lapse in assistance benefits due to the ongoing government shutdown, the Chula Vista Elementary School District has compiled a list of resources available to those in need.

CVESD launched its Parent Ambassador Program this school year to strengthen the home-school connection. The district looks forward to continuing this partnership and expanding opportunities for meaningful family engagement.

The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD), in partnership with the Chula Vista Community Collaborative (CVCC), is hosting a district-wide food drive from October 20 through November 7, 2025.

In order to expand environmental education for Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) students, the Port of San Diego has awarded the district a $60,000 grant over the next three years. This funding will benefit more than 7,000 students annually, ensuring equitable opportunities to participate in science experiences aligned with California’s Next Generation Science Standards.
